NEXT STEPS: SELECTING & ORDERING PHOTOS

This is the 2nd best part: I am excited to print your photos! Together we will collaborate so that you make the right decisions for your prints, album(s) and cards. Before proceeding, I do suggest working from a desktop or laptop computer. The larger your monitor, the easier it is to navigate. Also, if you haven’t already, please see my FAQ’s for helpful information.

 

FIRST THINGS FIRST: EXPLORE YOUR OPTIONS (THERE ARE MANY!)

  1. Briefly review these PRESENTATION SAMPLES.

  2. From a desktop or laptop, visit your page on danasiles.com and enter your ALL PHOTOS gallery.

  3. Click PRINT STORE on the right (in the white space between the main photo and the gallery), which align with the PRESENTATION SAMPLES.

 

SELECTING PHOTOS FOR YOURSELF AND/OR GIFTS

You have two options for submitting your print order:
OPTION A: Place an order directly from the gallery by clicking the CART icon;
or
OPTION B: Create a Favorites List for me to review and have the ability to make suggestions regarding photo choices, sizes, etc. prior to submitting your order. In this case, we are utilizing your Gallery as a platform for collaboration rather than for placing your order.

  • Click the HEART icon and follow the prompts.

  • Create separate lists for different purposes (ie “Gifts,” “For Me,” etc.).

  • Email me when you are ready for me to review your Favorites List(s).

    • I will then create a suggested Print Order Plan based on your selections while considering the recipient(s), the occasion(s) and your budget. The Plan will include sizes, prices, etc. We will collaborate to make any necessary changes to your Plan before I begin production.

 

SELECTING PHOTOS FOR YOUR WEDDING, EVENT OR FAMILY ALBUM

I typically recommend waiting about two months after receiving your photos before selecting images for your album. This allows you time to fully absorb and appreciate the collection (yes, there are a lot!). Trust me—after some time has passed, you'll see your photos with fresh eyes, making it easier to be selective. That said, I wouldn’t wait much longer than 2-3 months. During this period, your connection to the memories of your wedding, event, or portrait session will still be strong, which is valuable during the editing process. Also, keep in mind that albums ordered between January and April have a faster turnaround time than those ordered from May through December.

  1. From a Desktop or Laptop, visit your page on danasiles.com, then enter your ALL PHOTOS gallery.

    • You definitely do NOT want to do this from your mobile device! If you have two monitors, I recommend keeping the SELECTS gallery open on one screen while making your lists in the ALL PHOTOS gallery on the other. This will make it easier to compare and narrow down your selections.

  2. Create a Favorites List specifically for the photos you’d like to consider for your album(s). Click the HEART icon on a photo and follow the prompts. Title your list accordingly, such as “Album” or “Parents Album.” While you want to be selective, don’t stress about narrowing it down too much. I recommend choosing between 75-150 photos for me to review—these will serve as “tools for my toolbox” in designing your album.

  3. Fill out the Album Planning Form to finalize the details.

  4. Please place a 50% deposit for your album here. If you are undecided about the album style, a $1,000 deposit is sufficient.

  5. Now I’ll know to review your form and Favorites List(s) and create your album plan! I will circle back with your plan for your review within 2-4 weeks.

  6. From there, turn-around is 2-5 months (usually 3-4), and the balance is due once your album is ready to ship to you.

 

SAVE THE DATE, THANK YOU & HOLIDAY CARDS

  1. From your ALL PHOTOS gallery, click the PRINT STORE and then click HOLIDAY CARDS + BULK LOOSE PRINTS for rates and details.

  2. From your ALL PHOTOS gallery, create a Favorites List of photos you'd like to consider for your card. Title this list “Cards.” 

  3. Visit Minted.com to select the card of your choice. (Note: you may opt for another platform, however I strongly suggest Minted for their quality of service and cards.)

  4. Email me at dana@danasiles.com: 

    - Up to three card designs to consider (keep in mind: horizontal layout for horizontal photos or a vertical layout for vertical photos). 
    - Your personal message (card frontside text, inside text and/or backside text)
    - An update to view your Favorites List.

  5. I will proceed to design the card and provide one proof for your review (maximum three proofs during the entire design process).

  6. Cards and envelopes are proofed by Dana prior to shipping to ensure quality.

    Note: you may also opt to order LOOSE PRINTS to insert into your own card.
